ON-LINE Shopping

RI MicroEnterprise Association is proud to announce the launch of their highly anticipated On-line shopping center! Now MicroBusiness owners have a reliable and affordable way to sell their merchandise and services on-line making their products visible virtually across the world. At the same time it offers the consumers the option to buy from individual crafters, tradesmen and smaller businesses who take pride in their work and can provide personal service. "It's a Win-Win scenario really," commented Marlene Meister, one of the microbusiness owners taking part in the new program.
Select MicroBusinesses and Entrepreneurs who take part in the program have the option to create a custom home page and a page to sell their merchandise that links to the RI MicroEnterprise Shopping Center web site. Their are options for a custom web address, additional pages, custom graphics and e-mail. The transactions all take place on the Web-RI.com secure server shopping cart. This avoids the heavy startup and monthly fees associated with a credit card merchant account
For the opening of the Shopping Center offerings will include apparel, memorabilia, artists' prints, handmade candles and more. "We haven't even begun to promote the program yet and just by word of mouth we have generated a lot of interest," remarked Rhode Island MicroEnterprise Association, Inc. CEO, Ann Marie Marshall, "We aim to have a vast array of gifts and merchandise available soon."
