The Rhode Island
MicroEnterprise Association, in partnership with community-based organizations
located throughout the state, provides free microbusiness training and
business technical assistance to persons wishing to start their own small
business. Our services are accessible by the owners of more than 10,000
microbusinesses and home-based businesses in Rhode Island.
THIRTY MICROENTREPRENEURS
WILL GRADUATE IN THE MONTH OF APRIL!
Graduations will take place at BRAVA Employment in Central Falls on
Friday, April 19, at 8:00 pm; Olneyville Library Branch on Tuesday,
April 23 at 7:00 pm, The International Institute on Monday, April 22
at 8:00 pm; The International Institute on Wednesday, April 24 at 2:00
pm, the Mt. Pleasant Library Branch on Saturday, April 27 at 11:30 pm.

RHODE ISLAND
MICROENTERPRISE ASSOCIATION AWARDS FIFTEEN $500 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE
TRAIN TRAINERS PROGRAM
The Rhode Island MicroEnterprise Association has awarded fifteen $500
scholarships to local entrepreneurs and community based organizations
for the Second Train-the-Trainers Program to be held April 23 & 24,
2002 at the Radisson Airport Hotel, A Johnson & Wales University Facility,
located at 2081 Post Road Warwick, RI. This workshop is designed to
provide existing and future instructors with the strategies and materials
necessary to deliver microbusiness training classes and help new entrepreneurs
successfully launch a small business. Training will be presented by
Theresia M. Paauwe, CEO of Business Matters Training Resources, Inc.
Zionsville, IN.
MIRACLE PENCIL
TM INTRODUCED AT BUSINESS EXPO 2002!
The ultimate tool for the entrepreneur --- the MIRACLE PENCIL TM ----
was introduced to the world at the Business Expo 2002 at the Rhode Island
Convention Center April 9th and 10th. --- the MIRACLE PENCIL TM ----
has been designed to help entrepreneurs and small business owners that
want to experience miracle sales and business growth for their enterprise.

NEW MICROBUSINESS
TRAINING PROGRAMS BEGIN IN APRIL
A MicroBusiness Training will begin on Friday April 19 from 6:30 to
8:30 at BRAVA Employment, 38 Crossman Street in Central Falls, to be
taught in English and Portuguese. A new Spanish MicroBusiness Training
Program will begin on Saturday, April 27 from 10 am to 12 noon, at the
Knight Memorial Library, 275 Elmwood Avenue in Providence.
