The Rhode Island
MicroEnterprise Association, in partnership with community-based organizations
located throughout the state, provides free microbusiness training and
business technical assistance to persons wishing to start their own small
business. Our services are accessible by the owners of more than 10,000
microbusinesses and home-based businesses in Rhode Island.
SIXTY SEVEN
NEW MICROBUSINESS GRADUATES BEGIN THEIR BUSINESS CAREERS
Sixty seven future business owners completed classes that included instruction
in marketing, business planning and finances. CHisPA (Center for Hispanic
Policy & Advocacy), the graduates are: Armando Henao, Carmen O. Rondon,
Daniel Albizu, Diego Jaramillo, Eddy Trujillo, Edith Restrepo, Eduardo
Zabala, Elcy Restrepo, Elidelva Pineda de Tuches, Enrique E. Gonzalez,
Gilda Zabala, Hector Fabio Peņa, Humberto A. Velez, J. Rodrigo Arango,
J. Steven Bravo, Jairo Valencia Grisales, Jose E. Melgar, Jose L. Lara,
Luis A. Merida, Luis H. Flores, Maria de Jesus Guzman, Maria E. Ramirez,
Maria Teres Foulkes, Nicola Peņa, Noemi Tiburcio Ramoutar, Miriam Morales,
Omar Quintero, Pompilio O. Mendez, Richard J. Becerra, Sigfrido A. Sone
R., and Yraima Linarez. At the WARWICK PUBLIC LIBRARY, the graduates
are: Sondra Spencer, Monday Dum Deeyaa and Thomas Worthington. At the
INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF RI, the graduates are: Tracee Johnson, Kevin
Benton, Yvette Jaque, Ana Y. Chirino, Freddy E. Minaya, Jency C. Arana,
Edward Santos. BRAVA EMPLOYMENT AGENCY, the graduates are: Joao O. Vieira,
Silvia Tobar Gonzalez, Odair Lopes Monteiro, Carlos Alberto Andrade,
Rodolfo Valentino Baez, Margarida Fonseca Monteiro, Antonio Tobar and
Katia Gomes. At the SHEA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN PAWTUCKET, the graduates
are: Joshua Ames, Jackie Barbosa, Sean Conley, Barry Cooper, Kimberly
DePina, Aisha Dorlus, Dolapo Fakiyesi, Derick Goncalves, Jason Goncalves,
Kevin Joly, Lloyd Kollie, Javier Rios, Melissa Salazar, Jontae Sanders,
Gilson Semedo, Emerson Silva, Nadine Vale, Yolanda Jennings and Wonmein
Wonlen.

FREE SPECIAL
TRAINING SEMINARS IN JULY AT THE INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF RI 645 ELMWOOD
AVENUE IN PROVIDENCE
GUERRILLA MARKETING: Monday, July 15 from 6 pm to 9 pm. This
popular practical workshop will provide entrepreneurs with low-cost,
no cost strategies and tools to build company awareness, attract more
customers, boost sales, increase profitability, and grow their company.
GUERRILLA FINANCING & FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE PROGRAM: Monday,
July 29 from 6pm to 9pm. This workshop will show any entrepreneur how
to take charge of your finances and how to fund and finance any type
of business using some of the more than 100 business financing strategies
offered in this program. Attendees will be able to immediately apply
the lessons of each workshop in their business.
NEW FREE MICROBUSINESS
TRAINING PROGRAMS TO BEGIN IN JULY
The Free MicroBusiness course will held at the West Warwick Public Library,
1043 Main Street, West Warwick, RI and meets Monday & Tuesday evenings,
July 15, 16, & 22, 24 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Another free course will
be held at the Mt. Pleasant Branch Library and meets Tuesday & Wednesday
evenings, July 16, 17, & 23, 24 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. A Spanish MicroBusiness
course will be held at CHisPA, 421 Elmwood Avenue in Providence, and
meets Saturday mornings from 10 to 12, August 3, 10, 17, 24. At the
International Institute, the MicroBusiness course will meet on Monday
evenings 6:30 to 8:30 pm August, 5, 12, 19, 26 and in Central Falls
at BRAVA Employment Agency on Friday evenings 6:30 to 8:30 pm, August
2, 9, 16, 23. To register for any course, call 598-2256 or on line www.rimicroenterprise.org
