YOUTH JOIN THE MICROENTERPRISE REVOLUTION!
Oprah, J Lo and P Diddy are all entrepreneurs. They know how to make building a business a part of their lives. Now two schools in Rhode Island are plugging into a program in "Entrepreneurship…The Basics" being taught by Ann Marie Marshall, director of the Rhode MicroEnterprise Association and Prof. Kenneth Proudfoot of Johnson & Wales University. Youth entrepreneurship is included as part of the high school curriculum. Projects are in place in Introduction to Business classes at Shea High School in Pawtucket and at the Cranston Area Career & Technical Center in conjunction with culinary arts, financial and marketing students. Young artists are also getting the business basics at ASS220's Broad Street Studio.
