The Rhode Island MicroEnterprise Association, in partnership with community-based organizations located throughout the state, provides free microbusiness training and business technical assistance to persons wishing to start their own small business. Our services are accessible by the owners of more than 10,000 microbusinesses and home-based businesses in Rhode Island.

Rhode Island MicroEnterprise Association Expands Operations
& Moves to New Offices

PROVIDENCE - The Rhode Island MicroEnterprise Association is moving to new offices on August 1st in its continuing efforts to expand the availability of microbusiness training and enterprise education services to Rhode Island residents. Association State Director, Ann Marie Marshall, said, "We will add five new microbusiness training sites this year for a total of 25 locations statewide and also offer our Youth Entrepreneurship Program in ten high schools beginning in September." The Rhode Island MicroEnterprise Association is the fastest-growing statewide microbusiness training program in the country.

The Rhode Island MicroBusiness Association will move its statewide office from a space at Johnson & Wales University to new offices at the International Institute of Rhode Island, 645 Elmwood Avenue, in Providence. "We are beginning our fourth year of operation and are looking forward to continuing to expand our services and outreach to the state's home-based and microbusiness owners. This new location will provide us with office space, classrooms, and presentation rooms to offer our education programs to more people every year." The Rhode Island MicroEnterprise Association trains and MORE presents certificates to more than 300 people each year.

Classes are taught in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Cariole. Class schedules, program dates, and on-line registration is available on-line.
