Fifth MicroEnterprise Day Set for September 25th at
Nancy's Fancies Cakes on Federal Hill
 

The Fifth Annual Rhode Island MicroEnterprise Day will be held on Tuesday, September 25 from 11am-1pm at Nancy's Fancies Cakes at 294 Atwells Avenue on Providence's Federal Hill. The event will showcase the work and successes of the more than 84,000 micro-entrepreneurs and home-based business owners who create jobs, invent new products, deliver services, and drive economic growth in our state. MicroBusiness Program graduates and business owners will gather to share success stories, business ideas, and meet the next generation of entrepreneurs. A Proclamation from the Governor declaring September 25th as Rhode Island MicroEnterprise Day will be read. The event, co-sponsored by the Mullen Family Fund, will honor the entrepreneurial spirit and memory of James Mullen. Guest speakers TBA. To attend, please RSVP Ann Marie at 401-383-7940.


MicroEnterprise Association To Be Featured September 8th on Hispanic Radio Business Program

 

The Rhode Island MicroEnterprise Association will be featured on the weekly radio show, La Empresa de Hoy (Today's Company) on Latino Public Radio [88.1 FM] this Saturday, September 8th from 9:30-10:00 am. The show's host, Vanessa Toledo-Vickers, will interview Association State Director Ann Marie Marshall and bilingual teacher Ken Proudfoot. They will discuss the upcoming 5th annual Rhode Island MicroEnterprise Day and share information with listeners about the Association's many educational workshops and seminars. The radio program will be also be streaming live on the web at www.lprri.org. 


ANN MARIE MARSHALL INVITES BUSINESS MENTORS TO JOIN THE ASSOCIATION!

 “Mentors, who include bankers, accountants, and experienced owners, are paired with new entrepreneurs to share their experiences and advice to help them accelerate the growth of their new businesses.  Four times a year we offer our unique Network & GetworkTM program that is all about helping our members boost their sales.  Membership includes one-on-one business counseling, a monthly newsletter, access to our entrepreneurship library, and the mentor program. We want all of our entrepreneurs to make more money, become more successful, and have more fun!”
